Marriage Tips: Exercising to Improve Your Marriage

March 25th, 2009 | Tags:

Exercising can improve the quality of your marriage. Doing aerobic activities at least 3 times a week for 20-30 minutes has numerous benefits that go beyond the obvious.

It will improve your mood by stimulating different brain chemicals that reduce depression and improve psychological well-being.

It will improve the quality of your sex life. It does this in 3 ways- it increases your energy levels (fatigue is a big reason for lack of physical intimacy in many marriages), it increases your circulation which can enhance physical enjoyment and it can make you look better which will increase your confidence levels in the bedroom.

Exercise can help you sleep better at night (as long as you don’t exercise too close to bedtime). A good night’s sleep can help improve your moods which translates into you being a better wife.

It will increase your self-confidence and make you feel better about yourself. When you discipline yourself to exercise and get in shape, it will motivate you to improve other areas of your life.

Devoting your time and energy to an exercise regimen is a great investment in your health and your marriage. Do whatever works best for your personality and lifestyle. I prefer to use an exercise bike every other day while I listen to a motivational tape, some ladies prefer to go to the gym or enroll in an aerobics class. You decide what will work best for you and start exercising your way to a better life.

My husband and I have began excercising together. It’s a great “couple’s time” and friendly competition. It gives us just a bit of one on one time. Yet we reduce stress and give each other praise. Pumping up confidence.
