Having a hairstyle you like can help you be more productive by boosting your confidence and freeing up your mind to focus on other things. A good hair straightener can sometimes make the difference between a having a great day and having a not so great day.

Last year I started doing hair straightener reviews and after doing my research, I bought a Farouk Chi 1 inch ceramic flat hairstyling iron. I am enjoying it and do not regret my purchase but I went straight from a cheap metal one to a chi and never tried the hair straighteners in the mid price range so the change was quite dramatic for me.

Here are the pros and cons of the farouk chi ceramic flat iron:

The cons:
It’s a bit pricy
It only has one temperature setting-very hot.

The pros:
It leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny
It glides easily through my hair and I can straighten it with one pass
It’s quick- I can easily straighten my hair in 10-15 minutes
It lasts until I wash my hair
It heats up rapidly.
It can be used to curl or flip my hair
It has a swivel cord so it won’t tangle.

Before I straighten my hair, I use Chi Iron Guard thermal protection spray
 which protects the hair from heat damage and helps keep it soft and silky.

I do not know if the chi flat iron is the best hair straightener on the market although one of the reasons I bought it is because it is one of the best selling hair straighteners on Amazon.

If had known there was such a huge difference in hair straighteners, I would have bought a CHI flat iron years ago. It would have saved me many hours of time and frustration. If you are in the market for a new flat iron, it is worth your time to check this one out.
